Hii guys,

Yeah, I haven't written here in a while. It's about time to admit that I don't have much of a personal life, so there isn't much need for a personal journal... I'm closing [info]kibosh down (though not deleting it). If anyone here would like to keep up with me (which I would love), please friend my fandom journal [info]babel, and I'll friend you right back.

I just fell off my exercise ball. I have rug burn on my left forarm, a bump on my head, and possibly a bruise on my right hand. No more exercising at 3am. Not enough coordination.

I've been on a low-carb diet since November, and I've lost about 40lbs. My goal by the end of the semester is 50, and the goal for the end of summer is 80. This is why I spent the money I was saving for a GameBoy Advance on an exercise ball, resistance bands, and two 5lbs. weights. I've only gone down one size around my waist, but my thighs have shrunk dramatically. Which means that all of my jeans are now baggy around the legs, but not the waist. Annoying. I need to find an ab excercise that doesn't fuck up my back.

Curling is a funny, funny sport. Technically, it's boring as hell. But I can't stop watching it.

My father just brought home a kitten he found stranded on the highway. QUICK, let's figure out how to convince him we need a fourth cat!

Dear "pro-family" folk,

Here is a hint: If the KKK is on your side, you are WRONG.

Thanks for your time,
dilly r

P.S. Also? Our side is pro-family too, so trying to name your cause in the sense of "but who could be against family!" may be effective for idiots, but it's incorrect.

---

Yes, I am still around. I don't have much to say here. I'm doing NaNoWriMo again. Even though I started late, I'm on schedule. I'm keeping up with my other writing projects on top of this one, so I don't really do much other than write at the moment. It's good, but it's tiring at times. It requires a lot of short naps. At the same time, I'm managing to write 450-570 words per 15 minutes, so I'm getting a lot done quickly.

That's about it. How are y'all doing?

Brand: Katrina transfers must still sit out a year

"Division I basketball and football players from schools closed by Hurricane Katrina will still have to sit out for a year if they transfer to one of the many colleges that have offered admission, NCAA president Myles Brand said Tuesday."

Yesterday I bought Trainspotting from the Best Buy. I was carrying it around, idly looking for other Ewan McGregor movies when someone passed me and said to her boyfriend "What's that movie with all the heroin addicts?", and I snuck to the other end of the aisle and muttered "DON'T MATTER TO YOU, DOES IT, FUCKERS? BWA HA!"

They'd been irritating me by standing in my way at every turn anyway. Jerks.

Um, I started class. I foresee much sucking up to my professor in my future. She seems like the type I was teacher's pet of back in high school before all my English teachers were male (meaning, junior and senior years). But, today we read poetry that we brought in. I read "I will live and survive" by Irina Ratushinskaya. Translated, of course. This is the poem I won a itty gold medal that I'm disgustingly proud of in Oral Interpretation. By the time I got to the end, I stumbled once because I was shaking so bad it was hard to speak. I used to be better at this talking thing. I guess I need some practice.

My house is apparently mosquito central today. I just killed one with the flyswatter and, while cleaning up the amazing mess a mosquito makes (it's like a frickin murder scene), there is another one on my arm. One which I don't think I managed to kill, so he could be ANYWHERE. If they made mosquito repelant skin I would so invest. One should not have to wear BUG SPRAY in one's OWN HOME. I know there are any number of diseases that they tell us mosquitoes don't carry, but that doesn't make me any less scared.

Class starts up again soon. Which means I should register, doesn't it? Hm. My college has a new system, so I have no idea how to work it. Always a good idea.

Repeating this in case someone not awake in the early parts of the day: [info]babel is my new fandom journal. This one is all personal stuff now.

Semagic tells me two people have birthdays today. If that's the case, happy birthday!

Really, girls who have problems with their cramps? Try taking iron pills just before and during your period. It's incredibly helpful. I know how much the boys want to hear ALL ABOUT this, but really. Iron. Good. Replentishes some of what you're losing. It's made me feel much better this month.

It is getting close to the end of the summer. I need to work on my application to UT. I hate hate hate applying to college. Why is it such a pain?

I have not felt well for days. I'm always tired. I always have a headache. My brain is functioning at a minimum, so it's hard to write. AND NOW I AM ON THE RAG.

Needless to say, I am a wee bit on the grouchy side.

But I know what mythological form I am. )

SO ALL MUST BE WELL.

I've become addicted to [info]abc_icons, so I haven't been doing anything but making icons for the last few days. This is possibly not the best use of my time.

Also, I've been sleeping from mid-afternoon until late at night. Which means I've been sleeping through the time I'm supposed to go to the grocery store. Which means I'm currently eating refried beans, as there is nothing else available, which means that. Ew. Refried beans. I want food. Preferably with chocolate in it because there is a commercial for Dove cookies.

... I would think of something else to write about but everyone's gone reading the novel that shall not be named or whatever. So. Uh.

My beans got crusty while I was writing this entry. Ew. :(

[info]babel is now my fandom journal.
This is now a personal journal only. If you are only here for fandom stuff (X-Men, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.) then feel free to defriend me here and friend me on [info]babel. Or, you know, friend both. That would be cool too.

I'm doing this because I'm tired of feeling guilty for posting fandom stuff and boring for posting personal stuff.

So, I slept from midnight-ish until 4am-ish. Because my sleeping schedule is completly weird. Whenever my sleep is weird, it's so friggin' hard to get anything done, honestly.

The timeline for clone_wars fills me with the strangest sense of pride. Maybe it's because we've already done so much, or that my players are awesome like woah, or because of my super anal documentation of everything we've done so far. But it's cool. Too bad I'm not getting anything else done because of that sleep issue.

I want to learn to speak Huttese. Why does it refuse to be a real language?

[info]city_glitter's cat was set on fire for the 4th of July. Vet's bill is $5,000. Donate if possible.

If nothing else, go hug your cat if you have one. (And maybe consider keeping it inside the house.)

She was lying.

You Are 42% American
America: You don't love it or want to leave it.
But you wouldn't mind giving it an extreme make over.
On the 4th of July, you'll fly a freak flag instead...
And give Uncle Sam a sucker punch!

Okay, that's not entirely accurate. It's just that the quiz hits on absolutely nothing I care for as an American. It even stuffed baseball in the same category as American football. The most stereotypically American thing I like, and they put it in with the pigskin. Gross. :|

Um. Happy 4th my American compadres? Have good barbeque. (Premature because I apparently don't wake up until the day is almost over these days. :D)

Homg, too accurate. )

Last time I advertise this game to my own journal. I apologize, really, but we need some spots filled.

Begun, the Clone War has...

Two months after the Battle of Geonosis which began the Clone Wars, the Jedi have been sent to Kamino to protect the cloning facilities there from a Confederacy attack.

Clone Wars is starting on June 27th, and we'd like a few character spots filled before we begin. Clone Wars is a Star Wars based game which takes place between the events of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Knowledge of the expanded universe is NOT needed to participate, though events from the expanded universe will sometimes be used.

We are seeking players for: (If you like Star Wars and RPing at all, please look. Something might catch your interest. Summaries are included.) )

I just woke up (yes, making up for all the lost sleep over the past few days) from a dream about Star Wars as an English commedy with all of the characters in drag.

...

If you're wondering. Liam looks pretty horrific, but Ewan was unsurprisingly adorable. Let's avoid talking about Yoda.
